In each grade level you will see a document titled “Kid-Friendly Success Criteria”. The success criteria for every standard has been put into a table so you can print it out, stick the month’s success criteria in students’ journals and/or put them in the monthly/weekly newsletters you send home to parents.
Example of page one of 1st grade:
Success Criteria is the beginning place for planning.
Your standards were deconstructed to a level of what students have to do to show they have mastered the standard. If you have an activity that doesn’t meet an expectation of the success criteria, chances are it is not appropriate.
Thank you to Adrianna Hunt for starting this off for 5th grade
